Issue: Mobile App Displays “Unknown Network” Instead of Clock Name

If the mobile app displays “Unknown Network” where the clock’s name should appear, it may be due to missing permissions. This typically occurs if you have declined to grant the app necessary permissions, preventing it from accessing the clock’s information.

Solution:
Please ensure that the app has the required permissions to access the Local Network and Location. You can verify and update these settings by following the steps shown in the image below.

For iOS:

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Scroll down and select Nixie Clock.
  • Ensure the toggles for Location and Local Network are enabled.

For Android:

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Select Apps or Apps & notifications (this may vary by device).
  • Find and tap on Nixie Clock.
  • Select Permissions.
  • Ensure Location and Local Network permissions are granted.
