One of the most important features of our clocks is a remote firmware update. Whenever we implement a new feature, fix a bug in the firmware, or react to a vulnerability in the existing code, all existing clocks can be easily updated. The clock doesn’t need any attention from the customer in order to perform the firmware update – the update is made seamlessly in one or two minutes.
The clock can restart itself several times during the update and the System LED will flash in magenta color.
The clock will show a running zero on the display when downloading the firmware update binary files.
We used automatic firmware updates in the past, currently, we are adding an option for manually triggered updates. More information coming soon.
